Subject:Electro....real Hammond...oh, and Howler kit!

Last night was the first gig since I got back to
town...no leslie, no speakeasy....very cramped stage
so had to compromise. The Electro was fine...well,
fine enough (!), best for these circumstances. But
started thinking how Saturday's show is on a nice big
stage with an easy load-in...hmmm, maybe I can bring
the Hammond. I fired that baby up today, first time
in a while sadly, and man....I was grinning ear to
ear. I'm SO Lookin forward to tomorrow night. Now,
if I can just get someone to pop over and help me
break it down! And listening to my baby, I still hear
certain things that the Voce does that none of the
others do...that throaty growl...that ballsy midrange.
And of course, it has DRAWBARS! I think after
Saturday, the Voce is coming out for a while.

Btw....I had my Speakeasy Classic fitted with the
Howler Kit. My Electro is set up at the gig (I love 2
night stints!), so I just took the line out from my
Hammond. Holy Sh#T! Its mean and ugly! In a good
way. I can see how this might damage some leslie
components. Its a sweet tone though...now instead of
refitting tubes to get the Lord tone, I can just pop
this in instead! I'm sure with the much weaker
Electro output, things will be a bit more sane. But
so far...the Howler is a smoker! Again...Steve Hayes
and the Crew at Speakeasy: GREAT PRODUCT! Makes me
wonder what my Motif would sound like through it. I
hate to find out...then my wallet gets pinched again!
