Not quite "the building shook", but close...

Well, it's official, the music minister REALLY likes it. One of the choir
members commented about standing in front of it and "feeling it" at practice
the other day.

This morning we opened the service with "Long Ago, Prophets Knew" *, 12th
Century German melody (Personent Hodie, it reminds me of a Bach chorale). For
the fourth verse he had the A-100 full-out (presets** for upper A 32 4858
465, lower A 43 6868 388, pedals 85 or thereabouts). The A-100 internal
speakers were on, with just a touch of reverb. The MS was on slow with bass
and volume turned up, as was the knob on the AO-28 interface.*** if I turned
the Pro-3T/Low-Pro up at home the way Steve did, I'd probably knock things
off the wall.

Steve nailed the 7-note intro, pedals and both manuals. As a bonus, the
accompanist was playing a Yamaha PSR-550 through a good-sized Peavey amp on
'Church Organ' the same time, instead of the usual EP or harpsichord
setting... but this was just a touch of icing on an already sweet cake.

I could feel the bass in my hymnal from about 25-30 feet away. The church is
a round "concrete igloo" so you can imagine the echos. Just think if he had
an RT-3 with the pedal solo unit and 32' bombarde...

I suspect I'm going to be looking to buy a new rig for home pretty quick, to
use with my A-105 and CX-3. Maybe a KBR-M or the new MS-145... or if I find a
really good deal on a "real Leslie", I'll figure who gets what ... (Yes, I've
saved your mail, Vic).
