YIKES!!! More software!!!!
Hey, Deke, I'll let you be the guinea pig. You try it out and let us
know how it goes.
I'd be interested to know how Herbie Hancock handles his soft synth
ware.
There was an article about him in Keyboard a few months back. They
never go into specifics as to how these things work. The article
mentioned that he used a Mac laptop for his EVP88 but they didn't say
what soundcard he used or what other software he might be running.
I tried to e-mail him but got no reply.
These cutting edge guys are bound to have some interesting solutions
to all of these software questions.
The NI folks advertised a well-known keyboard player as having used
the B4 in his touring rig. Again, no answer when I tried to e-mail
them with a question.
Same thing with Wix Wickens in McCartney's band.
Oh well, I've about got it nailed now anyway.
Deke, try backing off the tone control on the Leslie horn setting on
the B4. it made a world of difference for me. It was real shrill
when run through a straight speaker cab. I backe d it down a couple
of notches and it sounded much better.
