Subject:Re: My Thoughts

Hello,

My impression from your recent post is that it was in reference to a
media-covered event, and that is why you asked for opinions. ...Correct? If
so, unfortunately I missed the performance. Yet your comments nevertheless
triggered a general thought. Admittedly this response is narrow in its
unexciting focus on the practical.

At the end of the day (er, a gig); and after all my opinions about equipment
have been shared, I still tend prioritize dependability with the 'tools' I
need to perform a job. I'm one of those people who replace that damn little
spare tire in a car (yes, used) with a full-sized tire, performs scheduled
maintenance
and usually just lives with the factory installed radio.

The same view can be gleaned from my handling of music equipment. I can
describe my values on dependability through a rather unromantic
plumbing analogy: when the plumbing in the house works properly, we tend not
to give it a second thought. But when things don't function, we're up to our
ankles in....

So yes, I certainly do appreciate and learn from Clone members' fine
aesthetic and precise points regarding the excellent Clone products out
there. Yet basic functionality and dependability are paramount. Gigs need to
be after all, fun. Malfunctions at a gig are not fun.

Although tangential from your initial request,
I am nevertheless glad that it seems your Clones performed above and beyond
my 'basic' issue and sang sweetly for you. Well done!

G
