Subject:Re: Leslie Vs Motion Sound
Materials would definitely play a part in the sound, hence "tone cabinet".
Imagine if the baffle boards of the upper /low rotors were made of 15 ply
baltic birch instead of MDF and the rest of the cabinet were made out of a
solid tone wood, your choice, instead of veneered plywood.
Experimentation.... Once saw TAFKAP do a live show with a clear plexiglass
122. You could see the entire guts of the leslie. How much time do you thing
was involved doing that and what did it sound like? Couldn't really tell as
it was mixed way down and was for show perhaps mostly.
