Dave,
The short answer is yes. IMO the lower rotation is a
MAJOR part of the sound. It is essential for you if
you want to "feel" the sound. I used a 770 (wooden
case solid state 760) for quite a while & the pro3t
w/a Lowpro is very similar. Using the Speakeasy helps
out a lot too.
Right now I'm mostly using my Motion Sound at my
church with my 1942 BC, & with the Speakeasy it sounds
extremely close to a regular tube Leslie. As for
portability you really can't beat it. YMMV, but I
think you would find yourself very happy with that
setup.
