Subject:Ruby Jensen driver replacement diaphragms

I've noticed that Ruby (speakers and tube supplier) has started to
offer a replacement diaphragm for Leslie Jensen drivers, I assume the
16 ohm V-21 since they said older Leslies. From Vibroworld, today's
price was only $ 45.00. Are these legit? Anyone know about these
and are they comparable to the original? I remember awhile back
someone said they had replacements, but it was some kind of re-fit of
another diaphragm and I'd heard of disappointing results. I have
four blown drivers that I've collected over the years with the hope
someone would remanufacture a replacement, and I'm putting together a
gigging Leslie, so the thought of having a reconditioned driver right
from the start sounds tempting, and at that price I could keep a
spare ready on hand and keep my originals at home for safe keeping.
It's almost worth my $ 45.00 just to chance it and find out for
sure. I also saw someone offering replacements on eBay, and I've
noticed an upswing of ads looking to buy blown Leslie drivers. Could
it be true? (If it is true and the guy on eBay was a forum member,
sorry if I'm "blowing" your secret). However, at this point I remain
a little skeptic from past promises of a replacement.
