Subject:Wood shed
Thanks ahead of time for your consideration and response.
I have been an "on and off" professional guitar and bass player for 30
years. Almost a year ago I traded to a long held obsession - the B3 sound.
I'm now playing a (new) CX3 with a Pro3T.
For the most part I have taken a combination of riffs from Jimmy Smith, John
Novello, Tony Z, and every other Jazz/Rock/Blues player since the 60's. The
CX3 coupled with my ability to give listeners the "essence" of what is
expected from a tonewheel/leslie combination, has allowed me to go higher in
the local "musical chain".
My real question: I want to become a better player (or at least a better
faker). To that end I am considering devoting a month to "woodshedding"--
doing NOTHING but working on the keyboard.
Given the vast experience of fellow Clonewheelers - what would members
recommend I do to make the best use of a month dedicated to the "woodshed"
