I have had terrible luck with Barbettas. The first I owned was
returned because it sounded harsh. I could never get the highs to
sound right and the unit distorted at very low volume.

The second was better, but the peizo(?) tweeter never did sound
good. I sold it and went to a a KBR-3D which sounds very good.
(Note: My KBR-3D was one of the very first made. I think the
original ones are a bit better sounding than than the later units.
It could just be personal preferences as EVERY amp sounds a bit
different.)
