Sorry Mark. I disagree. A 10 inch? Maybe for a home stereo. It's about
physics too. A 10" speaker cannot physically push the same volume of air the
same amount of pressure for the same distance as 15" speaker of comparable
quality no more than a cup can hold more than 16 ounces of fluid. This adds
up to a difference in sound quality. Sure, there are differences in design
that might account for closer approximations. Bose has made a good living off
of what you are suggesting. They sound good, but..... Same old story: Want a
REAL Leslie sound, buy a Real Leslie. Want a real 15" speaker sound, buy a
high quality 15" speaker. However, if "close" is good enough, sure -- grab
the 10" speaker! (Honestly, though, anything below a 12" is REALLY pushing
it!)
