Subject:in ear monitors..
Hi all!
I think it was Eric who started a thread about in ear monitors..
Here's some info I got from another site..
-------
Hi!
I am using HearSafe products.
www.hearsafe.de
HearSafe offers special IEM solutions for musicians.
www.hearsafe.de/englisch/...2inear.htm
I use their In-Ear-Station which includes a 4-channel mixer, eq,
mic-preamp, limiter and a special low output for a BassShaker. Earplugs are
custom-made for me, with exchangeable filters (-9db , -15db and -25 db).
You can plug in two different types of In-Ear-Receivers into the earplugs
instead of the filters.
The sound is simply amazing.
I have a 16 channel mixer in my rack, so I can do my own monitor mix.
Keyboards go directly to the mixer and to the FOH console (split by a
DI-Box). Signals from the rest of the band are sent from the FOH console
via two seperate channels (drums + bass / guit+voc ) to my mixer.
The stereo outputs of the rack mixer are connected to the In-Ear-Station,
where I can control AND limit the volume of my earplugs. I don't have a
bass shaker yet, but I plan to get one, because I miss the vibrations of a
large floor monitor !!
If there are any questions left, feel free to ask !!
