Subject:Re: Voce mididrawbar and B4
Chris;
I haven't tried the ASIO interface yet--I've had some other problems with the
combination of laptop & UA-100. When I try the ASIO interface, I get loud popping
noises that build in volume until I close the B4 window. The high latency is
most likely because I am forced to use the emulated Directsound driver. Still
working on a solution for this. I downloaded a new set of drivers for the UA-100
today, and I will try those tonite after 9 holes of golf.
The other alternative I'm trying is using a MIdiman Midisport 2x2 for the MIDI
interface, with the computer's internal sound card. The B4 sounds good that
way, but I didn't have a Win2K driver for the Midisport last night, so I couldn't
see how it behaves driven by the Roland A70 thru MIDI. I downloaded a Win2K
driver today, because the midisport comes from the factory with drivers for
Win98 and Mac OS only.
Maybe I'll just take the Hammond A (in an A100 cabinet) that I just bought over
to the church instead!
Wish me luck!
