Subject:OT: Church organ question

All,

I've been asked to fill in on a pipe organ at my church. I've never actually played a real pipe organ in the past, and the method that the expression pedals and stop interact seem illogical to me. I know the organ needs some work to be 100% again, so maybe it's just the way things work right now. Then again, as I said -- I've never played a pipe organ before.

If anyone here has played one a bit, please contact me offline to help me understand what's happening.
