Subject:Re: Nord Electro at CloneWheel gathering?

I love my electro for what it is. My band opened for comedian George Lopez
Sunday night. We had like 5 minutes to unload after our set. I picked up
the electro under my arm, picked up the Xstand in my other hand, and off I
went.

Now my only complaint is that the nominal output of the Electro is lower
than most keyboards. I gotta jack up the gain on the board way high to
get it right in a PA mix. It almost feels like I have to fool with the
singers' mic levels differently (than I do on gigs with something as hot
leveled as my Kurzweil PC2). (Rhodes and Organ on ELectro is better than
Kurzweil, but Kurzweil acoustic piano kills the Electro). I wish the
Electro had hotter nominal signal.

I've heard similar complaints about the CX-3 nominal level, but I don't
think it is as bad.
