Hehe... you too? Out west in the Vancouver branch they were confused
about the price for a long time. Before they had them in stock, they
would quote the price as "around $1600 (CAN)", and they were clueless
as to the fact there were two versions (a 61 and a 73).

The price was "fixed" just after real stock came into the store. I
know this because I went in to get a price for the 73 and as the
salesman checked for it in his computer, his eyes bulged and he said
"Woah! The price for the 61 is now listed at $2700 (CAN)! Good thing I
didn't sell any..." (I may be mis-recollecting the updated price....)

To continue the story, after waiting over 10 days for him to get a
"quote" for the 73 he wanted something rediculous, over $3000 CAN. I
think it was something like $3200, but I got the feeling he might just
have been trying to get me off his case.

As a general rule, Long & McQuade's prices on keyboards, and just
about everything, are a fair bit worse than you can get online (from
www.kraftmusic.com, for example). They ARE a good place to buy
Yorkville stuff, however.

(Long & McQuade is a Canada wide music store, for those who didn't
know...)
