Here's another dumb question: why is leakage desirable in a clone? I
recognize its a fact of life in a real B-3 (the B-3 I owned -- a
truly antiquitous beast -- had it in spades). If you're goal is to
really simulate the sound of a vintage Hammond, I guess you'd want to
add that bit in. My goal has always been to find a fat, pure tone.
I just don't think leakage adds to musicality. Unlike, say, key
click, which in the right proportion adds nicely to the
percussiveness of the attack.

I guess this is a subjective point, so anyone can disagree with me
and that's the end of the discussion.

I don't object to clones having leakage, as long as its adjustable.
I've always zeroe'd out leakage in any clone I've used. That's one
of the less desirable points of the Nord Electro -- the leakage level
is fixed.
