Subject: [CWSG] Electro Questions
I'm very intrigued by all the interesting posts about this new keyboard.
I don't have any Nord dealers in my area, so I don't know when I will get
to see it unless I just order one off the net.
Here are a couple of questions I don't believe I have read about this
week:
1) Does the Electro have a wall wart or a real power cord?
Power Cord
2) Would I be able to MIDI my Voce V5 to it and use the V5 drawbars to
control the Nord tone? If so, would the LEDs change as the drawbars are
moved?
Don't have Midi Drawbars to check this out.
3) Does it have an expression pedal input for standard exp pedals like
the FC7?
Yes
4) If you are using another keyboard to drive the lower manual, how easy
is it to tweak the lower manual drawbars? Can 2 settings be saved in
each preset, one for the upper and one for the lower manual?
Just press the lower manual button to access the lower manual controls
5) Can chorus be turned on for the upper and off for the lower manual?
Yes
6) How is the construction? I know it has wood endblocks, but is the
rest of it plastic or metal? Does it seem roadworthy?
Very nicely built. Yes, it is roadworthy
7) Does it have overdrive and if so, can it be used even if the Leslie
effect is turned off?
Yes
8) How do the LED "drawbars" function? Does each increment require a
button click or can you max them by simply pressing the button and
holding it? I'm a little confused about how you move the LED "drawbars"
in and out. Does each of them have a separate button for in & out?
Every button click moves the virtual drawbar up or down one LED. Holding
the button down moves it to its' farthest position, depending on which
button you're pressing, up or down.
