Subject:Aw: Re: real B3 players HEALTH WARNING !
In Europe only few people could afford a B3. Even M100 was totally
out of financial discussion ( 4-5 month income of a wortker in 70's)
So Yamaha electone was most popular Organ. Even nowdays except
Barbara Dennerlein Organist are playing Yamaha or Roland.
I think you have to differ:
a) Pure Organ Show player
b) Organ Keyboard player
a) That can not be done without a base pedal. Its very funny to play
any console Organ with pedal. Fealing a lttle bit like a drummer,
to create Rythms with base and left hand.
b) I even make my dance music with midi base pedal. (Cheaper than
a base player) Controling a JV880 Synthesizer. But even with
CX3 its different from a console organ.
I use Organs on stage, to make the sound more human. Giving the music
power, like a guitar. Fits very good to the clean digital synthies.
This Joe is a good Organ Player , but sometimes I think he playes piano
on the organ. The Demos on VK7. Sounds as he played the base figures
with left hand, like piano, not with base peadal. Did he ?
Now an imprtant warning !

Warning !!!!!!
*********************************************************
Playing base Pedal and volume pedal can damage your knees !!!
Unexpected the right "volume knee".
With new CX3 i played one week 6 hours a day. I played
sitting on a conga, so sitting position was too high.
Right foot being fixed by rubber of Volume pedal, my
right knee is now seriously damged.
So never play organ with a high sitting position !
Thats no joke
