Hi Ricki! (my part is in capital letters!)

Of course VK7 is an great organ. But if I spend 2000$ only for
organ sound, it should be allowed to examine every detail.
Why do we spend so much money if an synthesizer does the job too.

ACTUALLY I BOUGHT I 2ND HAND FOR A MERE US$ 1000! SO I CAN'T COMPLAIN EITHER WAY THIS THING GOES!!!

I planned to replace my old CX3 with VK7 because of
- the reverb unit
- the leslie
- leackage
- the better drawbar sound

ACTUALLY I USE IT WITHOUT LEAKAGE BECAUSE I THINK IT'S ANNOYING (NOTES SOUNDS OUT OF TUNE...)

I sold it because of the
- reverb bug
- Volume knob being on right side !!!
- Dissortion not my taste

Solution could have been
- Volume pedal
- Rotosphere or Pot

Ok I prefered another solution, because I want all in one instrument.

Some models had that bug. Solution can be read in this forum

I AM LUCKY TO NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM: THE ORIGINAL OWNER BOUGHT IT IN 19999...

My Vk7 had this bug and that made me angry, because i bought
it because of reverb build in ! (using key submixer without reverb)
You can test the bug easy:
Chose value of reverb time bigger than 64. For example 100.
Now store it in "performance mode". Now go again to reverb
time. Hope you can read 100. If its 63 you have the bug !

In my VK7 it was. Time=64 sounds like playing in bath room :-)

I only had a look at sound of single Drawbar !
Yes it sounds ok, for my taste a little bit to close to
sinus. So wouldnt it be good instead the two Values
CLEAR VINTAGE controlling the overtones of the single
Drawbar continuesly ? You can do this on new CX3,
adjusting drawbarsound continuesly from MELLOW over
BRIGHT to old Cx3 endig by Farfisa.

I MIGHT BE SLOW BUT CAN YOU RE-EXPLAIN THIS POINT? SORRY!

Ok its all matter of taste. But you can really get
a big improvement by using one of the sampled clicks.
Dont remember which of the two it was. Play C in
the middle and adjust Frequencie of sample to your
taste. Now adjust frequencie keytrack of sample to
nearly zero. ( Dont know if it was possible)

Ok, was a little bit too strong !
Our music programm consists of two parts:
Dinner music and dance music. For dinner music VK7
was great. Still missing some details of it.
But for dance music old Cx3 was better. In the end i
had both on stage. :-)

I DON'T DO DANCE MUSIC, I PLAY DINNER JAZZ, USE IT FOR BALLADS, SOME SANTANA TUNES, SOME OCCASIONAL ROCK MUSIC: THAT SORT OF STUFF!

MAYBE WE COULD DO THIS EVERY WEEK: CLONE REVIEWS WHERE ALL MEMBERS THAT OWN THE CLONE GIVE THIS INFORMATION THAT COULD HELP NEWCOMERS BUY THEIR RIG (THAT'S IF THEY NEED IT!!!)
