Subject:Aw: CX3 VK7 Flame, Base Pedal

Hi Mike !

As Midi Base Pedal i am using a PK7 ROLAND Midi Pedal.
Its a little bit expensive (600$) but it works very good, every week
since 10 years. Never had any problem with this Midi Pedal, its really
a very solid construction. The new ROLAND Guitar Effects e.G. using the
same Switches as PK7.
Our band has no base player. So I have to do it with the Base pedal.
Sometimes for slapping, frettles, or unconvinient base figures additionally using left hand.
So the Job of my left foot is to replace base guitar player, and so saving a little bit of money.
For base sound I use a JV880 Modul in Performance mode. As basic I programmed a sound with 4 square waves. Filtered to sinus with a lot
of resonance in different frequencies. Producing a basic base sound,
like old analog base padels, and cant be produced by any base guitar.
I achieve different base guitar characters, by mixing this sound with
some base samples of the JV880.
Our band owns an PA with active "Frequenzweiche". But I prever the low
weight solution with a single 1200 W Amplifier. I emulate the active
base frequencies with the base section of SPL VITALIZER.
That works very good. With SPL you can create base to any amount.
So in most cases second 1200 W Amplifier stays at home !

Funny story:
Sometimes it happens, that I find myself in a situation i dont know
the following chord. In this case i wait for the note my foot is
playing. Seems, that he owns more automation than my fingers.
Its like asking my foot. Hey left foot ! Any idea what next chord
could be ?

Ok, i would only write ROLAND PK7 is a very good base pedal !

ciao
richy

For Fretless i programmed some sounds
doing pitch bending preprogrammed,
