Here's a really obscure one. Sweathog(on Columbia Records) was a band
that Frosty (Lee Michaels') drummer played in.
They were a one hit wonder with the tune"Hallelujah", around 1972 or so.

They had a cut on their 2nd lp. "In the Wee, Wee Hours of the Night".
Starts with a Hammond coming up to pitch very slowly.

This is the only one I can think of right off the top of my head.

There is some playing around with the pitch on Deep Purple's "Smooth
Dancer" from "Who Do We Think We Are", although I think it is a ring
modulator effect rather than turning the organ on and off.
