Thanks. I would add that whilst it is recognised is the US, it is
not recognised in the UK. After speaking to Roland UK who didn't
know about it, I rang up Roland US and they told me it was a
recognised problem. Delatronics, Roland's service agent in London
was not aware either. I didn't want my machine sitting on a bench
for days waiting to fail when the problem was well known and could be
fixed in minutes, and my symptoms were identical to everyone elses
around the world. After several attempts over a number of months the
response I got from Roland UK was:
"so the unit powers off and back on.Delatronics can fix this for
you.It could be that one of the voltage regulators on the power
supply needs resoldering. "
I knew that is not the problem because I had already checked the
solder joints on the regulators during a previous attempt to fix this
problem. My impression is that given the quality of the rest of the
unit, dry joints are not quite Roland's style.
Luckily, it has only reset once in the middle of song on a gig so it
hasn't been a huge problem.
