Hey Jarrell,
Lemme run this idea past you.

You go to music theory and you start out with Bach, some Moe Zart,
some Haydn. Time goes on, you're studying Beethoven, or maybe
some Chopin. After a while, Stravinsky and yes, Bartok, even get
around to some Debussy or Bernstein. Start at the beginning. This is
considered "progression" in academic circles. One refinement leads
to another to another.....

Occasionally, there are what appears to be dead ends. Pipe organ
seems like one of them. There was Bach, and everything that sorta
sounded like him :-) and then, outta nowhere, there was Ligeti.
Mark brought up canvas paintings. Another dead end in technology.

And granted, this happens everywhere. No one has invented an
"electric FORK", the airliners are difficult to tell apart, and
our cars are about as lookalike as they've ever been.

But who said this had to happen with Hammonds?? again>

As it happens, I had been working on my "portable Leslie" when I had
a chance to A/B my Pro3 to my own assembled Leslie top end.

IMO, the bakelite horn and jensen driver sounded better than the
Pro3. So much for progress. Aaaargh!!!
