Bruce, Emo did use a Marshal amp at some stage. I have book called Rock
Keyboard, which is essentially a Keyboard mag product with interviews of all
the main players till '85. (picked it up in the $1.00 bin at the local
bookshop) On October '77, Emo states in regard to a spitty keyclick organ
sound on a Brother Jack McDuff record: "I found the sound by pure accident.
You use a Marchal amplifier with the presence and trebble turned way up. It
exaggerates the keyclick sound." Looks like McDuff also used something
similar.
