Does anyone on this list who has the Electro (it sounds like the "haves"
aren't as large a bunch as the "waiting fors") also have the Speakeasy
preamp. I was just wondering:

(a). Does using the preamp after the Leslie sim in the effects chain diminish
the efficacy of the preamp? By everyone's revues the pedal does a very good
job bolstering the clone sounds. Just wondering if after the sound has been
run through the Leslie sim there isn't as much raw material for the Speakeasy
to enhance.

(b). Does the preamp also enhance some of the sonic qualities of the other
sounds, Rhodes in particular?

The Electro sounds like a good idea. They just didn't take it quite far
enough for me to think seriously about getting one. Separate progammable outs
are one necessity, in which case they would also have to provide an effects
section in which each effect was separately programmable per internal sound
also. Also I downloaded the Elecro manual awhile back & don't recall them
mentioning anywhere in there that the unit is multitimbral. I would be happy
if someone proves me wrong on that obsevation. If they do address those
concerns it will probably be an entire new unit much like one list member's
(Mark Longo, I think) report that when they came out w/ the Nordlead 4 it
solved many problems of the Lead 3, but you had to get the new unit, since
the old one wasn't retroprogrammable. For something like the separate outs
that would definitely be the case. Don't know if they would think of redoing
the Electro anyway, since that would probably be more of a niche market than
the Lead. Of course at that point if the Speakeasy also enhances the
piano/clav sounds, you would need 2 of them, or some kind of stereo model.
Sorry for getting into a long ramble towards the end here.
