Subject:RE: CX3 thru a M.S. R3-147

I purchased the Pro3T to help make the organ sounds in the S80 more
realistic. It helped, but when I finally broke down and bought the CX3, I
realized that the sound of the Pro3T was sometimes better, sometimes worse
than the internal simulator. Since the Pro3T means more gear, longer and
tedious setup/teardowns, miking issues, etc. (I know the R3 147 takes care
of the miking for you) and in the spirit of less gear means less to go
wrong, I got rid of the Pro3T. It's much simpler to simply use the buttons
or a foot pedal on the CX3 and through a pair of Mackie SRM450s, the leslie
sim sounds great. I wish the distortion was better, but I'll live with it.
At some point I may add a dedicated preamp like Bruce did.

Also, make note of the params that Bruce posts on the ashby site. I set a
whole bank to use those and it's nice having the slow/fast times be
consistent.
