Dean,
Regarding controlling the XB-2:
Available from the panel
- Leslie Fast/Slow
- Percussion 2nd and/or 3rd
- Vibrato on/off
The Leslie effect can be turned off by applying a voltage of between
about 9 and 24v to pin 11 of the Leslie connector. This is how
plugging a correctly wired Leslie into the 11-pin connector disables
the internal effect.
You can 'borrow' the voltage from pin 6 of the expression pedal
connector and just wire up a simple switch to do this job.
The wiring for the expression pedal circuit is as follows:
(Standard 8-PIN DIN plug connections)
1 - Expression pedal control voltage in (low voltage = low volume,
high voltage = high volume)
2 - Expression pedal control voltage ground (see note)
3 - Foot pedal lamp ground (see note)
4 - Not connected (see trivia below)
5 - Direct connection to pin 2
6 - Foot pedal lamp supply +15v (from main supply through 4.7ohm 0.5W
resistor)
7 - Foot pedal lamp supply -15v (from main supply through 4.7ohm
0.5W resistor)
8 - Direct connection to pin 6
However, if you want full control of everything including the lower
manual drawbars, key click levels, percussion levels etc., a Peavey
PC1600x will do the job with a little (?)programming.
Cheers
James
