I agree with Bruce. Although I deeply respect my colleagues who will not
settle for 2nd best when it comes to performance, there is a decision that
all of us must make when we consider if the gig is worth dragging the beast
with us. The clones have allowed us to get close to the B3 sound without the
worry of some drunk idiot falling against the stage and spilling his beer
into the keyboard. I remember my heart stopping when this happened to my 57
C3 while playing at a club 25 years ago. My 63' B3 and 122 are living and
playing quite happily in my studio at home and will stay there. My CX3 goes
out to the clubs at night. The CX3 is insured so if a beer is spilled I can
go out and buy a new one. Can't say the same for the B3.
