Subject:Re: reflecting on reflectors

I am not pondering the issue regarding reflectors, or to put it another
way, I am reflecting on reflectors. Has anyone e-mailed Motion Sound
regarding this issue? What type of Southern engineering could be done on a
Motion Sound, in order to obtain the reflector sound (I use a KBR 3D)?
Thanks

reflectors... I assume they are pieces of plastic on the ends of the
horn that angle the sound out? And that they are on some but not all
leslie horns?

I am curious as to what experienced leslie owners/users think of the
importance of reflectors in the leslie sound.

I also wonder what Motion Sound thinks about them. Retrofitting them
(that is, a piece of material similar although smaller due to the
smaller size of the MS horn) might be problematic because the motor and
bearings may have small tolerances for additional weight, although
that's just a guess. Also, the exact material as well as shape would
of course affect the sound...
