Dave, I respectfully disagree. Have you played through a Barbetta
Sona 41C? It has two 10's instead of a 15" and it's bottom end is
thick and full and actually has more definition than a 15". Hartke
has been making 4-10" bass cabinets for years with a great sound.
Even farther back, remember Bose 901's? The key is here is that the
amplification must be engineered to optimize a smaller driver design;
speaker science has evolved to the point you don't need a big speaker
to get big bass sound. I have a feeling that it's the amplification
stage where Motion Sound dropped the ball.

I play through a R3-147 and then into my Barbetta and it kicks ass.
It's a great combination (and it don't weigh all that much either!)
Also, Jarrell mentioned using a Mackie 1500 subwoofer. We use these
in our main P.A. and they are incredible. However, unless you're
playing *really big* venues, they are pretty much overkill for a
keyboard rig. It does sound cool though to stand out front and
listen to someone else play your rig though them; low organ drones
and bass synth lines through the mains is an awesome sound.
