I agree with Ed, mint old style Leslie's are getting harder and harder to
come by. Instead of spending $500 plus on protection, try to find and old
road unit, even if its a 21 H, use the power amp if you want out of the good
leslie, add the newer speakers which are better for giging, then you don't
have to worry about messing up your investment. If you need to make a single
speed Leslie 2 speed, just get the 2 speed motor control, it works perfect,
plus you won't have to worry about adjusting or burning out the 2 speed
motors from your good gear. B.TW. I am going to receive a new tube preamp
pedal this week, that is totally hand wired, I will post a report on it. The
nice thing already is, its in the high $300 range which is not much more than
the current price of the SS models available.
