Take this with a grain of salt ...

As far as I have been able to tell, the "latest" firmware was implemented
from S/N 001176 on. I don't know of any updates beyond that version.

The '1176 firmware has one bug, the
Leslie-sim-doesn't-respond-to-the-pedal-in-Local-Off-Mode problem. Other
than that, it seems to be solid.

It was supposed to be released as a SysEx update -- according to the most
keyboard-knowledgeable KORG tech, Ian -- but from what I've heard from
others regarding the upgrade, it has to be done the old-fashioned way;
i.e., by swapping ROM chips.

I don't know how you get at the firmware revision, other than maybe popping
the top on the unit. I've tried the old trick of powering on the organ
while holding down various combinations of buttons, and if there's a trap
door in there somewhere, I can't find it.
