The manual doesn't tell you anything about it; it's just a trick I
use. There are two ways to do it, either one can be considered either
painful, or a no-brainer, depending on how you think when converting one
sound to another:
1. Store up to 32 patches in Bank A - Bank D. Make sure all of
them are either Leslie-sim-on or Leslie-sim-off; it doesn't
matter which.
2a. Copy the patches to Bank E - Bank H. Enter Edit mode and
change the Amp Type, Amp Gain, EQ, and Leslie sim on/off
settings as needed, and rename the patch. I usually choose
to put a character at the end to show which bank has the
simulator.
or:
2b. Copy patch A1 to location E1. Change the settings as in 2a,
and rename the patch. Then copy this new patch E1 to E2, E3,
... H7, H8 (if you need that many). Then enter each of
those patches and change the drawbars, percussion, etc. and
rename them.
Either way, in the end you will have something like this:
Leslie Patches Simulator Patches
A1 Jimmy Smith E1 Jimmy Smth S
A2 Rock Solo E2 Rock Solo S
A3 Gospel Choir E3 Gospel Chr S
... ...
D7 Deep Purple H7 Deep Purpl S
D8 EL&P H8 EL&P S
I hope this helps.
Regards,
-BW
