The suitability of a Leslie simulator is a VERY subjective question. Some
people think Simulator A is a terrific copy of the real deal; others think
it's perfectly awful. Although it's good to collect information from the
group as a starting point, I wouldn't dream of purchasing a clone and
simulator based solely on anyone's recommendation -- including yours truly.

As to built-in simulators, it's generally felt that the CX-3, B-4, and E-Mu
(and maybe the VK-7?) all do a good job of simulating the sound of a Leslie
AS HEARD THROUGH A PA OR RECORDING CONSOLE. None of them, however, give
you the 3-D experience that a Leslie (or Pro-3 series) provides, even if
the speakers are good, and well placed.
On the CX-3, I most notice this at Chorale speeds; Tremolo is more than
acceptable through a stereo system.
