Subject:Re: Leslie Simulation or not, as the case may be.

Hi,
The bad news is that the E-mu module doesn't really have any Leslie
simulation at all.The good news is that its patches are actual multi-
samples of a real B3/A100 played through a Leslie 122.
So what you hear is what you would hear in a recording studio on the
other side of the glass; the sound of a real Hammond plus Leslie as
heard over the monitors.
There are pluses and minuses in this, for one thing, on the minus
side, to get from fast to slow and back requires morphing from one
multi-sample to another, rather than spinning up and down.
Drawbar control is not available, although there are ways round this
using two modules.
On the very big plus side the E-mu sounds like the real deal
especially if you get the turbo module with 128notes poly, or like I
did, get two modules, one for upper and one for lower.
I'm not into, "My module's better than yours" sort of thing, but I
have to say that I'm in Clone Heaven with this set-up.
Cheers, Thomas.
