Subject:sPin vs. H&K question
I have a couple Leslie sims --
Multivox Fullrotor (retro!)
My "dual chop" Leslie (my own idea)
Voce Spin
And the stuff inside my Voce modules
I really like the Spin, not just cuz it sounds pretty good but because it's
now possible to activate leslie on/off, fast/slow/stop, all from midi on my
sequencer. Midi tweaks too. Not bad.
It also automatically mixes the ch1 and ch2 inputs to ch1 (this was *very*
handy!) for more than one module or input. OR it runs stereo if something
is plugged in ch2 out. I don't run it that way live. Fact is, I use it
live less and less but I don't wanna get rid of it cuz it's so nice in the
studio for sketchpad work.
Well my question :
I've heard many good things about the H&K Tube Rotosphere and now want to
know more from those in the know (uhh .. that'd be You).
Is there anyone that's A/B'd the Spin and HK??
See, I'd wanna use the HK simply for live work when I don't/can't use my
Lesliechop. So the midi stuff is unimportant, the 'mix function' would
be nice but not mandatory, stereo would not be needed -- for the moment,
anyway.
What would matter is:
Sound
Reliability
Sturdiness
Does it use a wal-wart or a 110?
And anything else you can think of.
IOW, am I headed in the right direction?? wrong tree? wild goose?
Thanks in advance
Larry
