Subject:Re: : The _Old_ Korg CX-3
I still use an old BX-3 (2 manual version of the CX-3).
I once heard a blues band whose keyboarder played an organ. I was
standing behind the stage and couldn't see the keyboard setup. I
thougt "wow, either it's a hammond or a good clone!".
The Keyboarder used a BX-3 and a Roland Jazz Chorus JC-120 guitar amp
with a Korg G4 Leslie effect generator. I use now the same setup...
This sounds very good and you lose all the transistor-touch af the
BX-3. The leslie effect is also very good. with the clean
sounding guitar amp, you can EQ the organ tone and cut the high tones.
I saw a lot of bands using the CX-3/BX-3 on stage in different setups
and I never thought it was sounding bad. But the one described here
ist definitely the best sounding.
Just my opinion...
