Hi,
I've posted on the group before about the Rotosphere and I have now
recorded an mp3 on the above site to illustrate its sound.
I'm no great shakes on actual playing, being just a keen amateur and
the recording has suffered a little in converting minidisc to mp3 at
128kb.
However it may give those who have not heard this stomp box some idea
of its capability.
Since recording the track I have improved upon the closeness that the
H & K can mimic a Leslie. I will upload another "improved" track soon.
In the meantime you should be aware that no animals were harmed
during the making of this recording.
To access my "locker" at myplay.winamp.com
type in >> Roto.@4u.net << for the email address that myplay
requests and then type in >> Leslie << for the password.
I would ask that you do not delete the file, but that you merely
download onto your drive. You may be tempted to delete when you hear
my playing to spare others from a similar fate but I would ask that
in the cause of science you refrain from this action.
Perhaps others might upload into my locker so that we can all get to
hear that which we all talk about.(I will mention at this point that
when I first tried to access my recording as a test, the file had
disappeared and I had to reload, so I'm crossing my fingers that all
is now well.)
In the meantime the recording was made using a Tecnics KN5000
keyboard midi'd to both an E-mu B-3 module and an Oberheim OB3^2
module. No microphones were used and the recording was optimised to
be heard on headphones although speakers should sound OK.
Any feedback that is not totally negative would be appreciated.
Cheers, Thomas.
