Subject:Leslie simulation in Mono/Stereo.
Hey folks,
I have somewhat of a dilemma that I'm sure some of you people also
experience.
I have several Leslie sims which I use in my studio (Korg G4, Voce
Spin, Boss SE-70 etc...) When playing in the studio in stereo, I can
get them all to sound great. (Especially the Voce Spin. In fact,
I'm really surprised more of you don't rave about this thing...but
that's another topic)
But playing live is another story. I am somewhat forced to play in
mono. I suppose I could run my stuff in stereo to the mains, but my
amp/monitor setup pretty much has to be mono. So even if I were to
bless the audience with a wide stereo swishing, swirling onslought of
Leslie bliss, I myself am stuck with a bland, 2 dimensional,
uninspired mono image.
Do any of you have the priviledge of playing in stereo on live gigs
with a band? How do you accomplish this?
What do you guys do to make your Leslie sims sound good in mono?
Thanks,
-Scott
