Subject:Voce/ Trek question

Hi all.
I have a Voce V5 that I have recently started using with a 145 leslie via a
Trek 2 preamp pedal. I have noticed that the signal from the Voce into the
'high' input of the Trek doesn't seem very strong. The last thing I want to
do is to blow anything on the leslie - but I'm wondering (a) has anyone else
encountered this and what have they done to address it, and (b) would it be a
bad idea to go into the 'low' Trek input while keeping the Trek volume down -
and if not - how could I control the volume without blowing a speaker? Any
suggestions?
