case for thier VK-77?


Dear Ben and Group at large:

I have not spoken about this recently, so someone else posted, perhaps a
few months ago. Even before I received my used VK-77 from a player out west
well over a year ago, I ordered a Modern Case via my dealer, Alpha Audio in
Mystic CT. You can visit the factory site at www.moderncase.com. I love
it! My dealer, Randy, suggested that I incorporate recessed wheels on one
end. Great idea! I always load the case in my van with the wheels last so
when it is unloaded, the wheels are the first to hit the ground. I have
single handles on each end, but I would recommend two on each end in order
for two persons to carry more carefully. Also, instead of just one handle
on the middle of the front, I would suggest an additional two recessed
handles vertically oriented on each end of the front. That would make it
easier to remove from a trunk. I can move it with one hand on the provided
middle handle, but it is awkward. Most of the time I use the wheels.

The case is lighter than an Anvil or Calzone and the laminate is plastic,
but it works well for me. The cover is secured with three latches. You
will find the price reasonable. You can get them in a variety of colors; I
chose white to be different.Did the post you than the generic black. Did
the previous post mention refer to Modern Case?

Regardless, this instrument deserves a good case. The previous owner of
mine had some minor problems that weren't discussed before purchase, like
gravel or black top on one end.

Let us know how you make out. I play mine through a 122 with a 1122 kit
and a Mackie Industrial 200AM or 300A.
