Subject:Talking of drawbars, controllers and such........( 2 part post) HELP !!
Hi, I recently posted that I would very much like a drawbar unit for
my V3 and that living in the UK there was not much hope of ever
finding one.
However a list member in the US had one for sale and I received the
item in time to put it into my Christmas Stocking and hang it up by
the fireside. Unfortunately it is damaged and the midi selector
controller is broken. It is the tiny orange coloured knob that pokes
out the back. It has been pushed in and the return wire to the PCB is
snapped at the point of exit from the back of the selector device
inside the drawbar casing.
I desparately need a replacement part.
The sender is trying to find out if they are available and I have
just found a contact number for Musictek in Hollywood, so I'll give
them a call. In the meantime if any-one could advise where else I
might try I would be grateful. The part number is DR-KR16.
The V5 might use the same part so I wonder if some-one could let me
know if indeed the midi channel selector is the same component on the
new(ish) Voce.
Regarding the discussion on drawbar controllers, there is a company
in Germany that makes a really neat/small 16 fader unit (RRP in the
UK is only £125) There is a downloadable PC editor and it's a doddle
to programme. Drawbars (faders) can be assigned to any midi channel
and can pretty much send any kind of midi message.
It comes with a load of pre-programmed patches, including the B4 and
holds 128 different programmes in non-volatile memory.
