Subject:Re: Price for Voce V5 setup?

I had a few more expenses with my V5 setup.

1. I have a V5/Rotosphere setup (which I used before I bought the CX3 setup,
and which now is a backup). For the V5 setup, I need a midi merge box to run
manuals and pedals from the Voce. The merge box added another $100 (though
if your controller has midi merge capabilities you needn't spend the money).
As it turned out, my controller supposedly had that capability, but was in
fact buggy, so I ended up using the dedicated midi merge box anyway.

2. If you want reverb, that's another box.

3. If you want independent drawbar control of manual 2, you need a midi
fader box--and on top of that, better luck than I had. I gave up on drawbar
control of manual 2 since my attempts to do so were fatally buggy. I hear
this from other Voce users. Also, preset setting and switching from manual 2
from a controller is buggy; I was never able to get all memory positions of
manual 2 to switch correctly from controller commands. I hear this from
other Voce users too. (N. B. I still think the Voce is a good deal because
of the sound.)

- Used Voce V5: 650$ ?
- Used H&K Rotosphere: 300$ ?
- Small 4 entry mixer for Rotosphere/Motif : 70$ (Behringer MX602A 6
Channel Mixing Console?) >>
