Subject:Pro 3T Protection

What are most of you using to protect your Pro 3T's from gig to gig?
I've been babying mine (read as "place in passenger seat and strap
in"). I've also tried bidding on used flight cases in workable sizes
on eBay, but it seems I always run up the price to ridiculous levels,
then some guy beats me by a dollar. I have the means to make a
padded upholstery cover, which I probably will end up doing, but is
there something on the market out there in a reasonable price range,
or has anyone thought of something ingenius that my 70's damaged mind
has not?
