No software is really needed. Windows 98 seems to be plenty stable so far--I've been using it with the B4 software for about 7 months with the church's worship band. I've been thinking about building a case that would house the PC and my keyboard--only the monitor would be external.

But--the other path I'm considering is the one I brought up the other day--a system built around a Korg CX-3.
