Perhaps you *should* comment, when the sound is not right to your ears. I
regularly ask guitarists and bassists to make changes, if the overall sound
and feel of a song aren't right. In addition, I've found that being
proactive with this actually limits the amount of feedback that I get from
THEM. Maybe it's the walk in my shoes that my comments provide; maybe it
provides a feeling that, "man, Bruce knows his stuff." Whatever it is,
it's helped me.
