Oh yeah, those instruments are classics too. I played an old 'suitcase'
Rhodes recently myself. It sounded, and felt great! (I was never a fan of
the Rhodes for the style of music I play, but always thought that for
certain things, it was / is super-creamy and great sounding) Hammonds,
Moogs, Rhodes, clavinets - some ARPS and sundry other keyboards are, without
a doubt, worth the 'hassle'. Something like the Mellotron might be
debateable, I've never played one myself, but classics endure not just for
nostalgia: They did sound, and always will sound terrific. (At least to me)

Well, before Bruce kicks me off this list, this was a neat little thread.
BTW, I'm looking at my Hammond and Minimoog as I write this and...Tubes and
wood and vintage construction will always be special.
