I dunno if I'm on the right track or not... but I gotta plan :-)

Sorta had enough of these vintage instruments for just such items
as maintainence and lack of "features" (hey, I'm a slave to patch
memory and 61note keys) but I do like the sound when it's done
right...

So I've been getting into tubes and sloppy coned woofers (oops, gave
away a secret -- still developing) See, the Clav and Rhodes, f'rinstance,
sound super *when they were setup right*. Same with digital.

I'll not ever buy another Hohner, Arp, Moog, Rhodes, or Hammond. But
I'll work to get my respective clones to *sound* rich. To those
of short memory: it always ever did just come down to working at it. We
used to work for hours and hours to get a Rhodes set up right, same with
tuning a never-in-tune Clav. Mediocre sound Rhodes was common because
just like today, many didn't put out any effort to improve their sound
beyond out-uv-the-box plug and play.... (ooops, izzat a soapbox under
me??)
