Subject:Nord Electro (Kind Of) pt.V

Thanks for the help and comments on the Rhodes situation. I'll make this my
last post on that subject since we've been pushing the envelope on what this
list is really supoposed to address.

I agree on the comments about the Yamaha Motif & S series. If it weren't for
a major (for my needs) flaw, that would have been my new Swiss Army knife. I
also agree on the comments about the Rolands RD600. I still have one at home,
just don't take it out for a variety of reasons. It's Rhodes sound has a
certain "thunk" to it. SInce it's a different type of sound engine than all
the other synths we've discussed a lot of it's Rhodes success is do to it's
architecture. I still find a lot of difference between that & the NY Rhodes
on the XP-80. The basic sound is similar, but there's not the same push to
it. Did a trio job last night (Fri.) & the same complaints of the XP Rhodes
were still there. Just goes to show that everyone is going to have a
different take on things.

As for the last paragraph in Daniel Pothaar's post, the sight of me wearing
tight leather pants & in a video ain'ta gonna be doing the world any
favors!!!!

Thanks to Bruce for letting us indulge in out OT ramble here. I'll try not to
abuse the privilege in the future (didn't say promise - just try).
