I've played with an idea of replacing the SM-304A (keyboard parallel-
to-serial-data converter that drives the 305s (with data format
unknown)) and 305A/305B (kind of a square(?)-waves generator which
get mixed & filtered to get "tonewheel" near-sine sound) chipsets
with a new inexpensive architecture. Anybody had similar ideas?
